Painted as part of my Musical Manuscripts series, this painting is inspired by music. While I was creating this painting I was listening to the song Straight From The Heart by Bryan Adams. This is a song about undying love and sincerity. I set out to capture the sentiments of the song in a paint medium. Its soulful melody and lyrics made me want to paint something soft and gentle. This painting has a variety of pastel colours and floral shapes that have been overpainted with soft neutrals and scratched through to reveal the stronger colours underneath. It comes “straight from the heart.” A certificate of authenticity is provided. Registered in the National Register of Australian Art and Artists. Signed on the front and back. Ready to hang.
