This large artwork is painted using acrylic paints on stretched canvas. It is a bold abstract piece that celebrates the joy of colour and the wild beauty of nature. The intensity of the blue in this painting was achieved by various layers of blue tones followed by a blue wash. This artwork is part of a collection called Wild Botanicals. Wild Botanicals is a collection of paintings inspired by flowers, seeds and nature. Tangles of tropical, green, and lush vegetation along with glimpses of colour are inspiration for these paintings. Where ever I go I always notice what is growing around me. I’m enchanted by tropical vegetation with its infinite shades of green and contrasting intensity of flower colour. I am fascinated by the micro climate the plants produce which makes a home for frogs and other creatures. It’s a secret world playing out before our eyes.
