Untouched is part of a collection of paintings called Wild Botanicals. This artwork was created with acrylic paints on stretched canvas. It has many layers of colour and texture. Using a limited colour palette I set out to capture the beautiful greens of a tropical paradise. I combined this with mostly white flowers to create a serene, untouched secret space. I almost want to speak in a whisper when I see this painting. I have a love of secret spaces and their ability to rejuvenate us and open our hearts. “Untouched” attempts to express that emotion. This is the place you want to go to be at one with your own thoughts, to let the stillness envelop you and to gain strength to journey forward. Recently exhibited at the Warrandyte and Camberwell Art shows.
